All glories to Srila Prabhupada, HH Bhaktivakasa Swami and Caitanya dasa brahmacari.Say No to Demonic Feminism.True Equality is Spiritual NOT Material

Recently a very sincere and determined ISKCON devotee named Caitanya dasa brahmacari---who has enthusiastially and positively represented and delineated, without adulteration and personal interpretation and despite demonic intimidation, the message and teachings of AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada and the entire parampara in his internet blog writings, known as the Hare Krishna Diary---has come under severe, unwarranted, unprovoked and egregiously offensive attack by a few envious so-called Hare Krsna devotees who disguise themselves as such just to pass off on an unsuspecting and uninformed public and audience ideas, ideologies, philosophies (such as feminism and other mundane pursuits aimed at only improving the animal tendencies of eating, sleeping, mating and defending) contrary to true Krsna consciousness and which ISKCON founder-acarya Srila Prabhupada has publicly, in his published writings, lectures, conversations and elsewhere, taught to be spiritually fraudulent and bankrupt and dangerously misleading...in fact pathways to hell as he would explain it. These types of people--so-called devotees--are sahajiyas, mayavadis and, in general, gross materialists addicted to bodily consciousness and who consider the strict regulative principle of Krsna consciousness old-fashioned, religious fundamentalism, sexist, fanaticism, basically code-words meant to demean, belittle and de-value the true followers of Krsna consciousness. It is Vaisnava aparadha at its fundamental--pun fully intended--worst. It is important to note, though, that, despite the bullying and barking of a few "caravan-intimidating" dogs, support for Caitanya dasa's Hare Krishna Diary blog has been overwhelmingly positive and well-received by devotees; it is the so-called devotees with their hidden agendas and ulterior motives---subtly, sometimes even grossly, promoting illicit sex life and other forms of sense gratification and mental speculation---who feel threatened by the purity of Caitanya dasa's preaching. Caitanya dasa isn't the first Prabhupadanuga to raise the demonic ire---and become the object of poisonous envy---of non-devotees and so-called devotees alike, and he won't be the last. Such is the austerity a Vaisnava must undergo and personal sacrifice he must make to disseminate and propogate the teachings of Krsna consciousness. Here are some excerpts--that need NO annotations or interpretations--- from Srila Prabhupada's transcendental books, whose contents destroy these miscreants' and rascals' delusions and misunderstandings. From Bhagavad gita As It Is Chapter 1, Text 40
TEXT 40
adharmabhibhavat krsna
pradusyanti kula-striya
hstrisu dustasu varsneya
jayate varna-sankarah

SYNONYMS adharma--irreligion; abhibhavat--having become predominant; krsna--O Krsna; pradusyanti--become polluted; kula-striyah--family ladies; strisu--of the womanhood; dustasu--being so polluted; varsneya--O descendant of Vrsni; jayate--it so becomes; varna-sankarah--unwanted progeny.

TRANSLATION When irreligion is prominent in the family, O Krsna, the women of the family become corrupt, and from the degradation of womanhood, O descendant of Vrsni, comes unwanted progeny.

PURPORT: Good population in human society is the basic principle for peace, prosperity and spiritual progress in life. The varnasrama religion's principles were so designed that the good population would prevail in society for the general spiritual progress of state and community. Such population depends on the chastity and faithfulness of its womanhood. As children are very prone to be misled, women are similarly very prone to degradation. Therefore, both children and women require protection by the elder members of the family. By being engaged in various religious practices, women will not be misled into adultery. According to Canakya Pandita, women are generally not very intelligent and therefore not trustworthy. So, the different family traditions of religious activities should always engage them, and thus their chastity and devotion will give birth to a good population eligible for participating in the varnasrama system. On the failure of such varnasrama-dharma, naturally the women become free to act and mix with men, and thus adultery is indulged in at the risk of unwanted population. Irresponsible men also provoke adultery in society, and thus unwanted children flood the human race at the risk of war and pestilence.

In closing I would like to add that recently many of these so-called devotees are complaining that the devotees in ISKCON will turn away people who are sincerely interested in Krsna consciousness unless Srila Prabhupada's teachings are watered down. These so-called devotees are complaining that ISKCON devotees shouldn't preach certain so-called unsavory or unfavorable aspects of Krsna consciousness for fear of preventing or discouraging a conditioned soul from accepting Krsna consciousness. What nonsense ! Utter rubbish and arrogant deceit ! Srila Prabhupada often compared the priceless teachings of this great Krsna consciousness movement to a diamond and precious stone jeweler...in that not everyone will abandon their nonsense ways and surrender to Krsna, just as many people cannot afford real diamonds and will settle for less and an inferior product so that they may continue with sinful activity and at the same time practice a false and concocted form of spirituality as though it is the genuine article. Such is the charade of the cheater and the cheated...ISKCON is the genuine article...the real deal, as it were, and it must not be watered down, diluted and cheapened to attract thousands upon thousands of mudhas and miscreants the way the countless other fake, bogus and manufactured so-called yoga movements are being mass marketed...better ISKCON keep its preaching pure and unadulterated by serpent and maya philosophies, and attract a few good men and women, who will take Krsna consciousness seriously and not frivolously. Leave the cheating to the cheaters and the cheated.
Thank you and hare krsna .

Your servant,
Arjuna dasa

hare krsna prabhu...all glories to srila prabhupada...all glories to sri guru and sri gauranga...you couldnt have said it, i mean repeated it from the guru parampara, more clearly, prabhu...the secret to success for all so-called sexes, denominations, creeds, races, cultures, etc--from the lowest ant to the dog to the dog-eater (candala) to the highest residents of the heavenly planets Indradevaji, Lord Brahma--is the one given by Srila Prabhupada in the form of his dear and eternal ISKCON movement: follow, the regulative principles of krsna consciousness including 16 rounds of japa and rising early for the brahma-muhurta on a daily basis, hear from the self-realized soul, Srila Prabhupada, chant hare krsna, perform devotional service, humbly serve the servant of the servant, associate with the lord's servants and devotees, take prasadam, foodstuffs offered to and sanctified by Lord Krsna, and preach to the others this one and only meaning of human life, awakening the dormant love of god in (jiv jago) by harinama sankirtana and brhad mrdanga...then you life will be perfect and blissful and free from anarthas, and the contamination of material hankerings, mental speculation, bodily identification...which non-devotee ideologies such as feminism, get-rich and happy quick schemes teach...shun the atheistic demonology and rascaldom and embrace krsnaology and devotional service...

HK Arjuna prahbu:

You are an amazing writer. I enjoy your spirit and devotion.

My mother was a devotee back in the 1970's. She lived for a year in India at an Ashram in Kerala.

I was introduced to Krishna Consciousness way back in the 1970's. I first went to a ISKCON temple in 1975.

I devote my life to bringing good cheer and love to everyone I can.

I note that you work in a jewelry store. My father used to own a jewelry store in the 1940-50. I like to visit there when I was very young and see all of the beautiful diamonds.

God is inside each and every person. Without Krsna we are only humanoid. Withgod we can be fully human.

To the envious, venom- and hate-filled individual--lacking any instinct resembling human compassion and decency what to speak of basic Vaisnava etiquette who posted the above odious and grievously unfortunate statement, I reply:

Anonymity--like ignorance--is bliss.

I was somewhat taken aback by the tone of Arjuna das’ comment above. As those who know me may be aware, my primary concern with regard to most of these issues is the way devotees discuss contentious issues among themselves, especially in public forums. I’m not going to comment on the content of Chaitanya das’ blog, especially since he has boldly offered a public apology. Whether he did so because he (or Bhakti Vikasa Maharaja) decided he erred in the way he discussed this issue on his blog, or because he (or Maharaja) decided to bite the bullet as a peace offering to the devotees offended by comments they felt intemperate, is no concern of mine. It was a big step, and I’d like to see some of the devotees who publicly castigated them both acknowledge this.

However, what I see in Arjuna das’ post here does raise concerns. It is important how we discuss these things. We should always be careful to maintain respect for other devotees, and that’s perhaps even more important when we disagree with them. It appears that Arjuna das is casting a wide net in characterizing those he condemns (and that’s not too strong a word when we look at his language—and I will). It appears that he intends to brand all those who don’t similarly laud Chaitanya das’ courage and fidelity as “envious, so-called Hare Krsna devotees.” Calling those he doesn’t even know “sahajiyas, mayavadis and . . . gross materialists” who neglect the regulative principles and whose sole purpose in life is to destroy the Krishna conscious movement is beyond gross generalization. It’s simply name calling disguised as argument and nothing more. Was strong language used in some of the posts criticizing Chaitanya das and Bhakti Vikasa Swami? Yep, and I’d guess those writers could have made just as strong an impact (if not stronger) on most readers if they had tempered their language. But Arjuna das’ remarks here are at least as intemperate. He should make it very clear who he intends to criticize and who is not part of his target. Otherwise, he runs the risk of vilifying sincere devotees who have honestly different understandings of how to understand a few details of Srila Prabhupada’s preaching. And many of those may be Godbrothers and sisters of his guru, devotees on whose backs ISKCON was built.

I don’t mean to play the vaishnava-aparadha, you’re-going-to-Hell card by pointing this out. I simply intend to point out the low quality of “argumentation” (to the extent it even exists) in this and similar posts. Arjuna das may very well be a serious sadhaka who’s just upset by the tone of criticism leveled at his friends. I would be, too, but I sure hope I wouldn’t compound the problem by calling those on the “other side” the worst names I could think of. I can see Arjuna das has a serious point to make about fidelity to Srila Prabhupada’s mood; however, the nasty tone of this post undermines his effort, which I hope is meant for more than scoring “high-five” points with his buddies. What benefit do we personally, and our movement, in the larger picture, gain by writing like this?

And that’s an especially relevant question in the case of postings that can be circulated all over the Internet. All this stuff makes us look like chumps to many folks; it makes it hard for many to take us seriously. We simply come off as a bunch of pre-adolescent kanistha wannabes who refuse to get along, and who show no interest in forging the unity in diversity Srila Prabhupada said would make ISKCON work better.

And look–-this name calling is not new in ISKCON. I hoped many decades ago that we would outgrow it. I doubt, based on the available evidence, that I’ll see that in my lifetime. Too bad.

Babhru das

My intent is not to give offense, but to simply comment on the way we discuss contentious issues among ourselves. Forgive me if I come off as a scold; I guess it's a teacher's habit to comment on problems in others' writing, and I hope my uninvited comments don't discourage anyone.

Yours in service,
Babhru
